It is an accredited Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) at the United Nations, UNESCO, the Organization of American States, the Latin American Parliament, and the Council of Europe andmaintainsrelationships with the highest levels of governments throughout the world. In 1993, the Center opened the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeleswithworldwide acclaim. The Museum has served as the Center’s flagship educational arm, challenging visitors to confront bigotry and racism, and to understand the Holocaust in both historical and contemporary contexts. In addition, the Center developed Moriah Media to produce theatrical documentaries to educate global audiences. Moriah has produced 17 documentaries to date, two of which have received the Academy Award for best feature documentary, The Long Way Home and Genocide. About the role We are looking for an Educator who canfacilitateMuseumsof Tolerance (MOT) programs to middle and high school students onthetopics of antisemitism,theHolocaust,theCivilRightsMovement, digital media literacy, and other human rights issues. You will bemanaging andconducting workshopsbothon board theMobile Museum of Toleranceandoccasionally within theelementary,middle,andhigh schoolclassroomsat schools andin communities across Florida.We will rely on you to find ways to continuously improve the educational experiencetheMuseums of Tolerance providesand tomaintain positive relationshipswith institutions bringingMoT’seducational offerings to their communities. About you You arepassionate aboutfighting against anti-Semitism, racism, and for promoting human rights and dignity.You have experience in teachingand/orfacilitating– especially withelementary,middle,andhigh school students– but also feel comfortable engaging with adults. You can usegoodjudgment andmake sound decisions in a public arena, including the ability to respond appropriately to questions on the above-mentioned topics. This positionwill report totheProgramManageror Head of Education for the South.Thisposition requires traveling alongside theMMOTthroughout the state of Florida,including rural,suburban,andurban communities. Responsibilities Travelingwiththe Mobile Museumof Tolerance bus to different schools and communities. Facilitatingopenhousesat libraries andother community sites/interactingwithvisitorsofallages. MonitoringtheMMOTemailandwebsiterequestformsandrespondingtoquestionsaboutnewvisits. Facilitateexistingprogrammingin an engagingandinteractive manneronandoffofthebus. AssisttheDirectorandEducationconsultantsoncreatinglessonplansandteachersguides. InformtheDirectorifthereareanyissueswiththebusitselforproblemswithavisit. Facilitateandcollectdata,dataanalysis,andevaluationandsendpostMMOT visit thankyouemails. Providesassistanceon data‑drivencontinuousimprovementstrategies. QualificationsExperience and Skills ResideintheFloridaarea. Haveatleast1yearofteachingexperience. Haveatleast a Bachelor’sDegreeinarelevantfieldofstudy. Possessaself‑startingattitude,be readytoseizeopportunitiesandmakeanimpactwithout specific instruction. Timelyproblem‑solvingskillstotackle emergencies,unintendeddelays,andocloud-.
