Corporate Lawyer

Law Offices Mario A. Garcia, P.A. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and staff across a range of commercial and real estate matters. The ideal candidate will assist with case preparation, document management, client communication, legal research, and day-to-day office operations while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys handling commercial, real estate, civil, litigation, and bankruptcy matters. Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and other case materials. Assist with the preparation and filing of court documents and other legal filings. Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files and records. Conduct basic legal research and gather information relevant to ongoing matters. Assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, document review, and trial or hearing preparation as needed. Coordinate schedules, meetings, deadlines, and appointments for attorneys and clients. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals. Assist with real estate transaction documentation and administrative tasks related to commercial and civil matters. Support bankruptcy-related matters involving both debtors and creditors. Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding documents, signatures, and case-related requirements. Handle confidential client and firm information with discretion and professionalism. Perform general administrative duties and provide additional support to the legal team as needed. Qualifications: Previous experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, or in a related administrative role preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common document-management tools. Ability to learn and work with legal case-management and filing systems. Professional judgment and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Familiarity with legal terminology and court filing procedures is a plus. Experience with real estate, commercial litigation, civil transactions, or bankruptcy law is preferred but not required.
