Full Time - CDL Delivery Driver

Essential Functions Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies, procedures and programs. Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating and selecting merchandise. Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, walking them through projects when necessary. Show sincere appreciation to customers. Communicate information regarding stock, special orders, feature benefits, applications and warranties associated with Lowe’s programs. Contact customers regarding delivery or coordinate with the truck driver to call the customer. In-Stock Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise on schedule to ensure on‑time orders. Pull, build, band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits according to delivery order. Inspect condition of products before loading for delivery or assist customers with loading. Match items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items and model numbers. Clean and Safe Stores Ensure loads are safe, secure and compliant with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Update delivery and route status on system devices for tracking. Unload, install and test appliances upon delivery. Verify daily vehicle inspections, report and maintain cleanliness, maintenance and repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment. Complete DOT reporting to maintain DOT certification and CDL compliance. Detect signs of shoplifting, theft or other security risks and communicate promptly to management or Asset Protection. Maintain compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to keep store and working areas organized. Maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear and securing doors and gates. Adhere to all relevant safety requirements for the role, such as top stock safety, safety cables, aisle blockers, tether lines for power equipment, spotters and safety devices. Operate store equipment as required—Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler. Accept additional duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Class A CDL License (for multi‑unit CMV) or Class B CDL License with air‑break endorsement (for single‑unit CMV). Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment. Pass MVR screening in accordance with company requirements. Ability to obtain any required sales‑related licensure or registration. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills. Must be 21 years of age. Compliance with DOT and CDL regulations. Preferences 1 year experience driving a semi‑truck/trailer or certification from a driving school. 6 months experience performing in‑home delivery or retail customer service. 3 months experience operating a forklift or performing load/unload on a vehicle.
