Pay Rate: $20.76 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri12:00 PM - 07:00 PM Sat11:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun11:00 AM - 06:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public cultural institution. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, entrances, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with directions and general information, and report suspicious activity, damaged property, or policy violations to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and communicating with management and/or emergency responders as needed. Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a public-facing environment. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
