Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing preventative maintenance on slitter machines, maintaining fork trucks, troubleshooting machinery, and handling facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will work with machinery and electrical systems, including 480V, and will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production plant assets.
Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on slitter machines.
• Maintain and repair fork trucks.
• Troubleshoot machinery to ensure efficient operation.
• Handle facility maintenance tasks including emergency lights and door repairs.
• Identify and replace faulty wires and fuses.
• Work with machinery and electrical systems, including 480V.
• Perform welding tasks using TIG welders and repair machinery using welders and torches.
• Build storage racks using welding techniques.
• Work with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Repair conveyor belts.
• Install new machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Repair overhead cranes, forklifts, hydraulic circuits, and gears.
• Possess or develop basic troubleshooting and repairing experience of industrial equipment.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of industrial maintenance or trade school experience.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with gears.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems (480V, 3-phase).
• PLC experience.
• Electrical wiring knowledge.
• Experience in industrial equipment maintenance is a plus.

Work Environment
The work schedule is either 11am-7pm or 1pm-9pm, averaging 45 hours per week. Be prepared to work occasional overtime, about one Saturday per month from May to October. Enjoy a smaller, clean, and organized shop environment with 6 maintenance technicians in the department and a total of 25 employees on the manufacturing floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BEDFORD HEIGHTS, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
