The RN Unit Manager leads the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate care . This role partners closely with the Director of Nursing and the interdisciplinary team to support compliance, strengthen clinical performance, and coach nurses and STNAs through real-time leadership, mentorship, and accountability.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

As the RN unit manager , you will:

·         Coordinate and supervise nursing care delivery on the unit, ensuring adherence to care plans, physician orders, and facility policies.

·         Provide direct clinical support, mentoring, and coaching to nurses and STNAs.

·         Monitor residents’ conditions, respond to changes in status, and ensure timely communication with providers and families.

·         Lead and participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

·         Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.

·         Support survey readiness and compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.

·         Assist with staff scheduling, performance feedback, and corrective action as needed.

·         Promote a positive, team-focused culture and serve as a role model for professionalism and resident-centered care.

·         Status: Full Time

·         Location: 5000 Sowul Blvd, Stow, Ohio 44224

·         Schedule: Day Shift with On-Call Rotation

Skills and Qualifications:  

The ideal RN unit manager will meet the following requirements:

·         Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of Ohio.

·         Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience required.

·         Prior experience as an RN unit manager or charge nurse strongly preferred.

·         Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and staff.

·         Familiarity with electronic health records and regulatory requirements in long-term care.
