The incumbent ensures the integrity of financial transactions and compliance with the Credit Union’s policies and regulatory standards. The Payment Processor is a resource to internal stakeholders to assist with questions and problem solving of departmental handled functions.**Primary Responsibilities and Duties:*** Responsible for processing financial transactions accurately, balancing daily and meeting security guidelines.* Collects, opens, verifies and posts payments in core and additional lending systems.* Researches and resolving complex member inquiries concerning mortgage loans, installment loans or credit card payments.* Assists the Accounting department in balancing general ledger accounts.* Collaborates with EFT department to reconcile provisional credit and extracted checks.* Processing foreign item checks received from branches* Posts trustee collections payments from bankruptcy attorneys. Process reversals from 3rd party collections vendor.* Reconciles ATM and ITM deposited checks.* Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of Everwise.**Knowledge/Skills:*** Must be able to use a 10 key calculator.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.* Good organizational and time management skills.* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.* Must be able to take initiative and prioritize tasks.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).**Minimum Requirements:*** High School Diploma or GED* Previous work experience in payment processing, customer service or related field.* Knowledge of basic accounting principles* Financial institution experience preferred.Everwise is an equal opportunity employer.
