Job Summary
Telemetry Nurse Days Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing high-quality cardiac telemetry care on a high risk cardiology unit. The role requires managing cardiac drips, sheath pulls, central line management, and caring for post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those who have undergone TAVR, cath procedures, and CABG/VATS.

Job Details

• Responsibilities: Managing cardiac drips (no titration), sheath pulls, central line care and management, chest tubes (including Pleur-Evac), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, nasal cannula oxygen therapy, and post-cardiac surgery care. The role also involves procedural sedation monitoring, sheath removal, tracheostomy care, wound care, and wound vac management.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days), 36 hours per week for 3-12s.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience on high risk cardiology units, managing cardiac drips, sheath pulls, central line management, and care for post-CABG/VATS and TAVR patients. Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in acute care hospitals and with high-risk cardiology patients is preferred.
• Additional Information: The ability to float within scope to meet facility needs is required; competencies include post-op open heart, sheath pulls, and central line management. This is a Telemetry specialty position at an acute care hospital with a staffed capacity of 34 beds on the unit. The position requires working on a 12-hour day shift schedule with guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
