Registered Nurse, Dual Role (Pre/Post & OR) - Ambulatory Surgery Center

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an RN to work in both PeriOperative and PeriAnesthesia departments on our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) team! Position Summary: Be part of our Same Day Surgery Center Team in Maple Grove with occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Center(s) as needed. We are looking for team members to support our growing services, with opportunities to provide patient care in our Surgery Center(s). We have a fast-paced multi-specialty Surgical Center. Our team is looking for candidates with a positive outlook and ability to work well on a team. This is a dual role – Working in both PeriOperative and PeriAnesthesia departments. The RN – Operating Room (OR) Circulator position provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area. The RN - Pre-operative, Post-operative, PACU, PPA position provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings. Patient care may be a direct activity of the RN, or it may be to coordinate and supervise patient care provided by assistive personnel. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. Previous experience preferred in the designated area. Work Schedule: FTE: 0.8 / Days Variable shifts lengths, variable/flexible start times, rotating assigned late shifts, weekends and on-call rotation possible in the future. Float to other surgery center locations as needed. Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines ACLS Certification required (or willing to obtain within 3 months) Operating Room experience required Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
