Job Title: Machine Operator – Plastics Manufacturing
Location: Gurnee, Illinois
Shift: 12 hours 6:45p-7am
Pay Rate: $19.00 hr

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our team in Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating molding presses, inspecting finished plastic parts, and preparing products for shipment. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to maintain a safe and organized workspace, and a commitment to quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect plastic parts in-process for quality issues (such as discoloration, burns, contamination, and other visual defects).
• Record product and performance data as directed by management.
• Properly pack finished products for shipping, including weighing, labeling with SAP, and stacking boxes on pallets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in production and packing areas, including sweeping, cleaning equipment, and handling spills.
• Operate molding presses and perform secondary tasks such as reaming, trimming, facing, and hot stamping as required.
• Sort and rework any non-conforming products, documenting and labeling appropriately.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Complete all required training and adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Average or above-average math skills
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Strong color perception and manual dexterity
• Capable of safely lifting up to 35 lbs
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a logical, organized manner
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Preferred: Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and basic email usage
