Description

American Traveler is seeking a multimodality CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a 13-week travel contract requiring proficiency in both CT and X-ray.

Details

• 36 hours per week on rotating 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• On-call is required, limited to 2 days per week
• Performs both CT and X-ray imaging (multimodality tech required)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT imaging in a US hospital setting, with trauma and stroke experience required
• Must be proficient in both CT and general radiographic (X-ray) imaging
• Associate's Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
• ARRT RT(R)(CT) required
• Active state/district license required — no pending licenses; license required if applicable
• BLS (AHA only) required
• CPI certification required
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyze body habitus to adjust technical factors, and correctly position patients to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Review physician orders and obtain pertinent clinical data prior to imaging
• Assist physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, and response to contrast reactions or codes
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
• First-time travelers will not be considered; minimum 2 years of US hospital experience in specialty required
