Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis

Assume responsibility for patient care at the unit level, ensuring continuity and quality of care throughout each shift

Supervise clinical staff to whom appropriate patient care tasks have been delegated

Support nursing leadership in maintaining high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care standards

Ensure competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Experience in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Step Down setting

Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Ability to supervise and delegate care to appropriate clinical staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience working in a multi-unit environment including CVICU, SICU, or MICU settings

Demonstrated ability to manage patient care resources effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
