• Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Hospital / Telemetry
• Setting: Short-term acute care hospital
• Location: Portland, Oregon 97213
• Assignment Type: Travel CNA job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $810-$870
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float between units as needed
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of CNA experience required
• Current CNA / Nurse Assistant certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience supporting acute care or hospital patients preferred
• Ability to work in a telemetry environment and follow patient safety protocols
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Comfortable with patient mobility support, hygiene assistance, and routine vital sign collection
• Must be able to adapt to changing patient needs and unit workflow

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, hygiene, grooming, and daily comfort needs
• Support safe ambulation, transfers, turning, and repositioning
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and pulse oximetry as directed
• Provide feeding assistance, toileting support, and incontinence care
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment
• Use proper body mechanics and safety techniques during patient care
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to the care team
• Assist with equipment, supplies, and routine unit support tasks
• Follow isolation precautions and infection control practices consistently
• Float between units when needed to support patient care coverage
