Oncology Account Manager/Sr. OAM - Los Angeles East

The Role The Oncology Account Manager builds and maintains strong professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders in private practice, medical group practices, hospitals/academic medical centers, office, and ancillary staff involved in the care of cancer patients. The Oncology Account Manager is a clinical and business leader who represents Genmab’s values by providing approved disease and product information and resources to key decision makers and stakeholders within their assigned territory. The assigned territory for this role encompasses Duarte, Orange, and Upland, CA. Candidates must live within commuting distance of their assigned territory. Responsibilities Effectively support Genmab’s Oncology portfolio in the U.S. marketplace. Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for the territory by positioning Genmab’s products for appropriate patients. Demonstrate effective time management by focusing on engagements that drive brand value and prioritizing activities that benefit patients. Develop and implement robust territory business plans centered on performance; meet or exceed territory productivity requirements. Flex between virtual and in-person engagements and develop a business plan considering account communication preferences. Analyze key market data and action insights into effective business planning. Develop strong, long‑term relationships with customers in all assigned accounts, continually challenging customers with value‑based solutions. Represent Genmab’s brands in a professional, compliant, ethical, and effective manner. Understand disease states, Genmab’s brands, and competitor products, and articulate value through all communication mediums (digital, live, etc.). Possess deep understanding of reimbursement and fulfillment pathways for injectable medications. Demonstrate highly effective territory management and superior selling competencies. Creative approaches to gain access to customers in the modern landscape. Share knowledge, experience, and information to foster team effectiveness and accomplishment of shared goals. Manage territory resources and budget effectively. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing Genmab U.S. staff conduct. Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. 4+ years in sales, marketing, or clinical (pharmaceutical, biotech, rare disease, or patient care) experience is required. 4+ years of demonstrated success in Oncology sales and/or account management is required. Oncology launch experience preferred. Strong capability in account management, superior selling competencies, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Strong business analytics skills to understand, analyze, and adjust territory business plans. Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Ability to work effectively in matrixed teams. Track record of driving self‐directed performance enhancements. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Veeva, and related applications. Flexibility to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—across all levels. Commitment to operating in alignment with industry laws, regulations, and high ethical standards. Salary $160,000.00 – $240,000.00 (actual offer based on experience, location, and additional compensation). Benefits 401(k) Plan: 100% match on the first 6% of contributions.
