Nurse Practitioner

Position: Nurse Practitioner (Collaborative Practice) – Contra Costa County Health Services Department The Nurse Practitioner will provide medical care to individuals and families within the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center’s hospitals, outpatient centers, psychiatric services, public health clinic services, mental health outpatient services, detention facilities, and home or skilled nursing facilities. Responsibilities Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to deliver primary care and case management. Provide mental and behavioral health care and case management when assigned. Develop, implement, and evaluate educational and training sessions as requested. Participate in quality improvement committees and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Minimum Qualifications License Required: Registered Nurse license, Nurse Practitioner certificate, and Furnishing license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing; valid California motor vehicle operator’s license (out‑of‑state license acceptable during application). Education: Master’s degree in nursing or a related clinical field, or a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program. Experience: Two (2) years of full‑time or equivalent experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital, clinic, or other medical facility, OR two (2) years as a Public Health Nurse. Other Requirements: State DEA license and National Provider Identifier (NPI). Background investigation/fingerprint and physical exam may be required prior to employment.
