Vet Exam Room Assistant — Fast-Paced, Growth & Benefits

Position: Exam Room Assistant Pay: $16.00 – $17.25 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: AM and PM shifts required Status: Full-time (30+ hours/week) eligible for benefits Environment: Fast-paced clinical setting Key Responsibilities Work directly with clients and patients in a fast-paced setting Review daily appointments with the doctor and Patient Care Assistant Obtain brief patient histories and temperatures Safely and confidently restrain patients when necessary Assist the doctor during exams and procedures Maintain the flow of the day and keep the team on schedule Communicate professionally with clients, both in person and by phone Make doctor call-backs as needed Call prescriptions into pharmacies Prepare and make medications Remain on your feet for most of the shift Qualifications Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable handling and restraining patients safely Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lift and assist patients as needed Knowledge of medications or willingness to learn quickly Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of responsibility Reliable and punctual with flexibility for AM and PM hours Benefits (Full-Time 30+ Hours) Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Staff pet discounts on care, lab work, and food Yearly $75 uniform allowance Opportunities for training and professional growth If you thrive in a busy veterinary setting, enjoy working closely with a team, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
