Talent Business Advisor Associate Location: Chicago, IL. Overview RSM US LLP is the leading provider of professional services to the middle market globally. The Talent Business Advisor Sr Associate’s primary responsibility is to administer and implement human resources programs and policies including talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, and change management initiatives. Responsibilities Project Management Assist in planning and managing less complex human resources projects, negotiating deadlines, and defining, analyzing, measuring, and evaluating results. Execute project plans generated by a manager or director. Talent Management Assist with coaching leaders at or below manager level, develop plans for career growth, industry experience, and leadership opportunities. Enter data into workforce plans. Leverage existing reports (recognition, feedback) to gather, organize data, conduct basic analysis, and develop conclusions. Employee Relations & Compliance Coach and advise employees and leaders on performance and interpersonal issues. Draft and deliver moderately complex Employee Counseling Reports (ECR) and may terminate employees under guidance and coaching from HR leaders. Assist HR leaders and/or lead investigations. Performance Management & Salary Administration Determine schedules based on analysis of reports (TaRS, TAG), make recommendations, and escalates as needed. Facilitate smaller leveling/NWT/roundtable meetings, including bell curve and promotion recommendations, share knowledge/insights, and ensure data accuracy. Perform analysis of compensation market position under direction of manager/director. Partner with HR manager/director to educate and advise local leadership on compensation objectives. Local Training Delivery Deliver new‑hire orientation and previously developed training. Facilitate local training and develop ad‑hoc local presentations as needed. Mentoring/Career Advisor Responsibilities Informally mentor HR coordinators and generalists. Other Duties Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education / Certification Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or a related field required. PHR/SPHR preferred. Experience 3‑5 years’ experience working as a Generalist within a human resources role. Technical Skills Required Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Basic business acumen and understanding of industry and partnership models. Ability to identify patterns of basic risk & liability, resolve routine issues, make effective recommendations, and know when to escalated complex issues. Current working knowledge of federal, state, local regulations/laws and firm policies. Understanding of compensation materials and principles. Leadership Skills Required Demonstrated effective teamwork, willingness to accept assignments, complete tasks on schedule, and assist co-workers. Compensation Compensation Range: $72,100 – $118,800. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
