Job Title: Systems Feature Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly technical Feature Systems – Software Systems Developer to lead the definition, architecture, and development of next-generation vehicle features from concept through production. This position focuses on early-stage systems engineering and feature development rather than primarily software testing or validation. The successful candidate will translate customer and business needs into system requirements, functional specifications, logical architectures, and software implementation requirements while collaborating across software, electrical, mechanical, and vehicle integration teams.

• Develop system architectures and define feature behavior.
• Write engineering requirements and create System Boundary Diagrams.
• Conduct DFMEAs, verification plans, functional safety assessments, and cybersecurity assessments.
• Support software implementation using Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies.
• Demonstrate ownership of complex vehicle feature development.
• Lead cross-functional engineering decisions.
• Guide features from concept through production launch.

• Proficiency in requirements design and systems engineering.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

The pay range for this position is $46.06 - $55.27/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
