Equipment Specialist

The Equipment Specialist utilizes technical knowledge and skills in the preparation of equipment used by the clinical staff in the operating room suite and assure that all operating rooms are equipped with appropriate and safe equipment required for surgical cases. The equipment tech ensures equipment is in operating order prior to use, assures proper handling by staff along with facilitating and monitoring for proper cleaning and maintenance. The Equipment Specialist also serves as a resource for the charge desk, OR scheduling team and coordination of inventory/ordering of equipment.
