Transactional Attorney

Role Description We are looking for an attorney with a strong foundation in real estate purchases and sales to work alongside our team of other attorneys and legal staff. An ideal candidate would have familiarity and experience with real estate transaction procedures on both sides of the seller/purchaser relationship, for both commercial and residential projects. Responsibilities Represent clients in residential and complex commercial real estate transactions Draft, review, and negotiate, purchase and sale agreements and other transactional documents Conduct title examination and due diligence review Structure and document real estate transactions and related entity matters Manage the legal aspects of closings and related requirements Advise clients on land-use, zoning, and permitting issues arising in transactions Provide counsel on post-closing matters and related disputes Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel, title companies, lenders, and other parties Minimum Qualifications Candidates should possess at least five years of experience handling sophisticated real estate matters. A solid grounding in core real estate principles is essential, including proficiency in examining title and surveys, evaluating zoning and land-use issues and related permitting, preparing purchase and sale documents, and analyzing various financing instruments. Strong academic credentials paired with demonstrated professional capability, particularly outstanding writing, research, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, are expected. Preference will be given to those who have represented developers and borrowers in intricate commercial real estate deals involving purchases, sales, public and private financing arrangements, and land-use approvals. The ability to collaborate effectively within a team and thrive in a dynamic, high-volume practice is also important.
