Senior DevOps Engineer AWS/Kubernetes/GitHub Actions Introduction:
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in DevOps, CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, and automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing cloud infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing Kubernetes environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain enterprise-grade GitHub Actions CI/CD workflows
- Build reusable workflows and custom GitHub Actions
- Manage production AWS EKS/Kubernetes environments
- Perform Kubernetes upgrades, troubleshooting, scaling, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Python/Bash
- Implement GitOps deployment processes using ArgoCD or Flux
- Manage Docker builds and AWS ECR
- Implement AWS security and access controls using IAM, OIDC, and IRSA
- Optimize Kubernetes infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost
Requirements:
- Must be local to Chicago, IL 60661 or Irving, TX
- Must be available for 3 days onsite
- Must be willing to attend an in-person interview
- Must have a LinkedIn profile
- 7+ years of relevant DevOps experience
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of professional DevOps / SRE / Cloud Infrastructure experience
- 3+ years of hands-on GitHub Actions, including developing and modularizing complex workflows
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS
- 3+ years of production Kubernetes / Amazon EKS
- Strong Terraform experience
- Strong scripting experience with Python or Bash
- Experience with Docker and Helm
- Strong CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Production troubleshooting and automation experience
