Travel Medical-Surgical Telemetry Float Pool RN - $2,230 per week

Jackson Nurse Professionals is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Job Description & Requirements

Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted 

Floating roles: Travelers are expected to float throughout the zone they are hired into. Each zone covers a 60 mile radius from the zone's city center which is where the 60 mile verbiage comes into play. 

Must float within Zone 1: (Based around Colorado Springs, CO): 

Schedules are released 4–6 weeks in advance and follow one of two formats

Mutliple units ranging for General MS-Tele into various specialities from Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, & ED Obs Nurse

Patient Ratios 1:5-6 based on acuity 

Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, NIHSS 

Common diagnoses/Types of patients "Population: Adults- Geriatrics Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Renal, Urology-post surgicals, General Surgery-post appy, Gynecology, Psych/Detox, ENT, General Medicine, stable long term placement patients, and more" 

Experience or 'Must have' skills "Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience Prefer prior neuro experience

Weekend Requirements 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6 week 

schedule Holiday Requirements May be asked to go into the Holiday Rotation 

Is there a call or standby requirement? Rare, for low census 

How are units assigned? i.e. via text message, daily sheet assignments, set schedule? "May be asked to float into any other acuity level; ICU (take low acuity holds with skillset), PCU/Stepdown, & MS-Tele Region
