Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $2150 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a South Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Special Requests: Only 1 active application is allowed for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). You may apply to a day shift and a night shift on the same unit and facility, but not to more than one day-shift position on the same unit and facility. Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler, with eligibility to return and/or internal reference check. Up to 7 days of time off can be approved; traveler must extend the contract 1 week for every week that is missed.

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers are accepted only with 2+ years of experience. Manager will accept acute care Med/Surg, ED, or ICU experience. General ED experience, critical care experience for ICU holds, and trauma experience.

Required Credentials: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.

Unit Details: All ages; traveler will be utilized in ED, ICU, and Med/Surg care areas. Common patient populations include sepsis, DKA, ETOH, ARDS, MI, trauma, and stroke. Patient ratios: ED 1:3-4; ICU 1:1-2 (dependent on acuity/age); Med/Surg 1:5 (dependent on acuity/age). Charge nurse/hospital coordinator support, phlebotomy, and RT are available; no IV/VAT team. Hospitalist coverage with APP coverage at nights.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: Must be able to float between ER, ICU, and Med/Surg. If trained in all, may be floated to ER, Med/Surg, and/or ICU.

7 days maximum time off

2 Manager references required from within the last 12 months
