Registered Nurse Urgent Care

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Urgent Care provides clinical services and leadership within an ambulatory care setting. This role ensures high-quality patient care, efficient clinic operations, and compliance with standards. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication management, documentation, and collaboration with providers and staff. The nurse supports clinic operations including opening and closing provider clinics and maintaining supplies. An active Alaska RN license and at least 2 years of urgent care experience are required. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska (active at time of submittal).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of urgent care nursing experience within the last 2 years.
  • Knowledge of nursing process, safety, infection control, and customer service principles.
  • Skills in patient assessment, specimen collection, and use of medical and computer equipment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and function well in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with clinic leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Ability and willingness to teach and mentor staff.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle new or challenging situations.
Special Considerations:
  • Must have an active Alaska RN license at time of submittal.
  • Proof of flu vaccine required.
  • Start date contingent on timely submission of fingerprint cards for background processing.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Responsible for ensuring own housing and transportation; no housing or transportation provided.
  • Adherence to infection control policies and clinic safety procedures is mandatory.
Scheduling:
