Aviation Professional for AI Model Evaluation

Aviation professionals apply their operational, safety, and communications experience to evaluate AI model outputs and improve model behavior for tasks related to flight operations and airfield management.

• Review and assess AI-generated content and responses that relate to aviation operations, terminology, procedures, and scenarios.
• Create and refine prompts or task instructions that reflect real-world aviation workflows and language.
• Provide clear, structured feedback that helps developers correct errors, reduce ambiguity, and align model outputs with professional standards.
• Use your domain knowledge to judge safety, regulatory compliance, and operational accuracy in model responses.

• Minimum of 4 years of professional aviation experience in one or more of the following roles: Airline Pilot, Copilot, Flight Engineer, Commercial Pilot, or Airfield Operations Specialist.
• Hands-on background with duties such as operating and managing aircraft safely, following flight plans, monitoring systems, and performing inspections.
• Experience coordinating air and ground activities, communicating with air traffic control, dispatch, maintenance, and airfield personnel to support safe operations.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance tasks, including inspections, enforcing procedures, managing emergencies, and maintaining operational records.
• Ability to perform asynchronous, remote work in collaboration with AI research teams.

• Remote, asynchronous work; perform tasks independently from your location.
• Part-time engagement, with flexible hours and no minimum commitment required.
• Typical assignments average 5 to 20 hours, though actual hours vary by project.

The program runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different aviation specializations. Placement into specific projects depends on current project availability; if no suitable project is available immediately, additional opportunities will become available over time.

Up to $100/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students with valid CPT or OPT authorization may be eligible to participate; consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported by this program.
