At Houston Methodist, the Lead CT Technologist position performs specialized functions as a regular part of their normal job responsibilities. In addition to performing at a Technologist II level, this position serves as the liaison and primary point of contact between management, staff and physicians for routine matters. The Lead Technologist position answers questions and resolves issues for the CT Technologist I & II job roles as well as other members of the care team to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care and adherence to practice standards. This position ensures optimal patient safety, quality outcomes, and customer service. Duties for this position may include the following tasks: organize work schedules and delegate work assignments; review and edit time cards for accuracy; conduct quality assurance audits; develop and implement quality improvement activities; train, mentor and develop staff; and provide feedback on staff performance or development needs. The Lead Technologist position may direct or regularly participate in special projects; collect, analyze and report on data or metrics; and hold other responsibilities of a similar nature and level.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
• Four years' experience as a CT Technologist.
• May consider HM employee with three years' experience, as a CT Technologist who demonstrates leadership abilities

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Must have one of the following: ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) ARRT-N - Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT) ARRT-THR - Radiologic Technologist - Radiation Therapy (ARRT) CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) and
• BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association and
• ARRT-CT - Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist_PSV and
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation_PSV

Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital opened in June 2017. This 725,000-square-foot, full-service, acute-care hospital offers many of the same services as our flagship hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Also, on the beautiful hospital campus, located at the intersection of Interstate 45 and Texas State Highway 242, are two medical office buildings, which include a Breast Care Center; Cancer Center; infusion center; heart and vascular services; neurology; orthopedics and sports medicine; rehabilitation services; wellness services; an outpatient laboratory; and several other multispecialty physician practices. In January 2022, Houston Methodist The Woodlands opened Healing Tower a $250 million expansion project that added 106 beds, focused on medical-surgical and women's services, and provided nine operating rooms. The project also included the expansion of the endoscopy center, emergency department and diagnostic imaging department with an enhanced neurodiagnostic and interventional center.
