Storage Engineer (with Backup Support Experience)

Location: Charlotte, NC 4 days on site/1 remote of your choice (southwest Charlotte)

Duration: 12-month contract

Top Requirements:

1. Netbackup or Rubrik experience preferred, similar tools acceptable
2. Storage, SAN and NAS (Powermax or Powerscale or Isilon ideally)
3. Linux, Windows - server administration (Charter is moreso on Linux side)
4. VMware - administration from standpoint of how they supported Windows and Linux

Day to Day Responsibilities/Project Specifics:

Main job duties will be to maintain Rubrik and Netbackup with an emphasis on storage (PowerMax and PowerScale). They will be maintaining those environments from the backup side - ensuring successful backups and replication as well as to maintain Tanium, which is an enterprise platform that provides real-time visibility and control over endpoints (like computers and servers) for security and IT operations teams. This person will ensure all devices are patched appropriately as Tanium identifies vulnerabilities on systems. Candidates should have a background in backup and storage (i.e. PowerMax and PowerScale), but Tanium can be taught as long as candidates are comfortable with the job duties. Additionally, this person will be supporting Linux and Windows environments from an OS standpoint and will be responsible for administration and maintenance, working with vendors to ensure patching, provisioning and allocation of storage when needed and monitoring environments to ensure the environments do not run out of capacity.
