Production Lead

Job Details Location: Main Office - Winchester, KY 40391 Position Title: Production Lead Reports To: Production Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly Job Type: Full Time Direct Reports: No PPE Requirements: Safety glasses as required Other Specifications: Physical position – requires lifting, carrying, reaching, squatting, bending, sitting, standing, driving (as needed). Reliable transportation and working cell phone. Must safely operate equipment including forklift. Good attendance is critical. Highly physical position. Essential Functions of the Position Operating production line equipment Set‑up and breakdown of line Maintain a clean workstation and production floor End of day sanitation Capture and record daily production data and daily counts Lead daily team meetings that communicate safety topics, daily efficiencies, production schedule and company announcements Ensure all team members are safe while in the production area Assist with GMP walk throughs Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Reliable transportation to and from work. Working cell phone with ability to receive company text messages. At least 2 years’ work experience. HS Diploma/ GED or equivalent. Ability to work weekends and holidays when required. Safely operate a forklift and machinery/equipment. Ability to perform continuous standing, grasping, and handling of materials and frequent walking, bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, overhead reaching, lifting, carrying, and handling heavy weight, including periodic lifting of 50–52 lbs. Follow and perform all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices for Food Safety). Exposure to warm and cold weather conditions and temperatures. Adhere to all safety guidelines and comply with PPE requirements. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Detail oriented. Work independently with minimal supervision. Remain calm and project a calm presence during tension and crisis. Dependable; excellent attendance and punctuality are critical. Flexible work schedule (including weekends and holidays). Good organizational skills. Follow PPE guidelines, as required.
