OPEX Intern – Operational Excellence Internship Program Internship Responsibilities Study assembly line processes and identify areas for improved throughput, line‑balancing, and process standardization. Document processes using process flow mapping, standard work, and visual‑management techniques. Revise manufacturing documentation and support shop‑floor team leaders on a daily basis. Analyze data to facilitate continuous improvement. Collaborate with other process engineers to identify and develop the equipment needed to produce specific products, parts, and components. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering; on track to graduate within 1–2 years; available to work 10–15 hours per week from the facility. Additional Qualifications: Strong MS Office skills; excellent written and verbal communication; Lean or Toyota Production Systems training preferred; ability to work independently and take direction from others; coursework in CAD/Drafting and/or programming is a plus; ability to lift 25 lbs.
