Senior Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing workforce management systems, configuring timekeeping platforms, and ensuring seamless data integration across enterprise systems.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Senior Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Configure and manage workforce management systems, including timekeeping, scheduling, and absence modules.
• Design and maintain ETL pipelines and API integrations (REST/SOAP) to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
• Translate business rules, labor policies, and union requirements into system configurations and logic.
• Perform advanced data analysis and reporting using SQL and support decision-making processes.
• Manage system governance, security roles, and platform upgrades to ensure stability and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity across Payroll, HR, and Finance systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, system administration, or workforce management systems.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, ETL pipelines, and API integrations (REST/SOAP) with experience in enterprise workforce management platforms.
• Proven ability to manage data integrity across HR, Payroll, and Finance systems while translating business rules into scalable system configurations and workflows.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
