Join Our Team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Description: - Step into a pivotal role providing critical respiratory therapy under medical direction, enhancing the health and well-being of patients with cardiopulmonary challenges. - Assist with intubation and manage ventilators, ensuring optimal respiratory support for our patients. - Conduct thorough evaluations, gathering essential information to tailor care, including disease education and consultations with interdisciplinary teams. - Foster meaningful connections with patients and caregivers, creating an environment of respect and trust as you work towards their healthcare goals. - Deliver and document vital education to patients and caregivers, adapting to their unique needs and comprehension levels. - Participate in various projects and additional duties as assigned, contributing to a dynamic team environment. - Uphold HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior, embodying professionalism in every interaction. - Engage regularly with medical personnel and visitors, maintaining a productive workplace. Required Skills & Experience: - Quick learner with the ability to adapt to evolving patient needs and a strong sense of accountability for improving patient and caregiver lives. - Passionate about teamwork and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care centered around patient focus. - Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). - At least 1 year of ICU experience and proficient in ventilator management. - Willing to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floors. Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy. - Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, and a current New Jersey Respiratory Care license. - Current and valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
