Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Rotating Weekends

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit will provide exceptional nursing care to patients during one of the most critical times in their lives. The role requires a strong commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes, supported by a positive and caring attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe nursing care through the application of the nursing process and scientific judgment.
• Monitor fetal health and manage labor, utilizing fetal monitoring skills.
• Collaborate effectively with the patient care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate professionalism through active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• Support and guide patients and their families through the childbirth process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License required (temporary license not accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient Labor and Delivery setting.
• Certifications in Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Proficient in using Meditech documentation system (preferred).
