Speech Language Pathologist

Centra Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Centra Health in Lynchburg, VA, seeks a mission-driven Speech Language Pathologist to provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment for adults with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in an inpatient and/or outpatient rehab setting. You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, document care in the EMR, and educate patients and families to support recovery and community reintegration. Responsibilities Evaluate patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team to coordinate patient-centered care. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home programs. Document assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR. Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives. Supervise or mentor students or CFYs as appropriate. Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
