By transforming the character, we give life back to the people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues.Our 15-bed, mental health facility is located in Orangevale, Ca. Our inpatient facility serves voluntary clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. **Positions available:**Per diem**Benefits:*** Competitive pay* 10 days paid vacation* 5 holidays/ 5 sick days per year* Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits with NO monthly premium for employee* 401K with a company match of up to 3%* Accident & life Insurance**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Oversee the day-to-day delivery of patient care.* Provides outstanding, individualized resident care and medical support to clients as needed.* Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes to evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status.* Provide care according to the Physician's orders, care plans, established standards, policies and procedures.* Prepare and monitor patient administered medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.* Monitors and reports adverse reactions to medications and treatment to the RN and/or Physician.* Sign, date and perform all charting, record keeping and care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.* Utilizes good infection control procedures. Utilizes behavioral management and crisis intervention techniques.* Ensures compliance with State licensing standards and accreditation standards* Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of the company.* Other duties as assigned.* Facilitate group therapy sessions.* Provide client assistance in crisis intervention situations.* Maintains EMR.* Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.**Requirements:*** Current Psychiatric Technician (PT) license or LVN* Must have a valid Driver’s License.*Sierra Health and Wellness* is a California network of leading behavioral health and rehab centers for adults and families who suffer from addiction to alcohol, opiates, amphetamines and other addictive substances. *Sierra Health and Wellness* is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against applicants, employees or clients on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability, veteran status or any other category protected by the law, or patients' decisions regarding advance directives.
