We have an unmatched depth of knowledge and experience.We have high integrity, self-discipline and respect for others.As a valued intern on our Actuarial Reserving team, you will be given real meaningful work as well as support and guidance from our actuaries as you continue on your exam path.Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:Provide Actuarial Pricing support for all lines of businessSupport pricing of new program opportunitiesIn conjunction with the annual Planning process, develop premium and loss ratio projectionsComplete and distribute monthly pricing reportsSupport Insurance Department rate filings as neededDevelop new rating tools as requested and support migration of existing tools to new platformsTechnical Knowledge and Understanding:Passed at least one Actuarial Exam strongly preferredBasic Excel experienceInterest in insurance industryKnowledge of actuarial exam processStrong organization and communication skillsThe ability to learn, understand, and apply technical conceptsOwnership of tasksWorks within deadlines with guidance.Able to manage time and prioritize with guidanceAdapts future behaviors based on prior mistakesAccepts and reacts positively to feedbackSeeks out assistance as neededExperience:Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fieldDemonstrate sufficient progress in understanding and applying basic actuarial principles is requiredStudying for CAS preliminary exams; may have 1-2 passedApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for this position.
