Grill Cook
The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items on the grill according to company recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. This position requires working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring consistent food quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and grill food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate grill and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Work in a fast-paced environment during peak service times
- Multitask while maintaining accuracy, speed, and food quality
- Perform food prep duties including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain proper food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked
- Assist with cleaning duties and closing tasks as assigned
- Follow all company policies related to safety, sanitation, and operations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, standing, and walking throughout the shift
- Ability to work for extended periods in a hot kitchen environment
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Previous grill cook or kitchen experience
- Experience in food service, cafeteria, or commercial kitchen environments
Work Environment
- Fast-paced kitchen setting with exposure to heat, noise, and cooking equipment
