Our culture is people-focused, data-driven, and results-oriented.Summary:The Housekeeping Inspector at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Champaign is responsible for inspecting the cleaning of guest rooms to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.Duties & Responsibilities:Walk all assigned spaces at the beginning and end of each shiftRemove newspapers, service trays, empty ash receptacles, trash and/or linens, and note any areas that require immediate cleaningClean hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc.Perform quality checks on public spaces, televisions, telephones, and lampsRemove soiled linens, towels, and trash and place them in the appropriate locations in the prescribed mannerAssist housekeepers with portable refrigerators, roll-away beds, cribs, etc. as neededDemonstrate proper use of cleaning equipment and suppliesRespond to and resolve housekeeping requests and complaints by guestsMaintain consistently professional and positive attitudePerform special projects and other responsibilities as assignedParticipate in task forces and committees as requestedUnderstand and provide friendly guest serviceUnderstand and comply with proper cleaning techniques, procedures, and brand standardsOperate a vacuum, mop, and properly use cleaning equipment and suppliesComplete assigned tasks, identify and investigate issues, and resolve basic matters in a timely fashionAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficientAdditional tasks may be assigned at any given time.RequirementsQualifications:High school education or related experienceFamiliarity with hospitality industry practices preferredAttention to detail and efficient time management skillsEffective listening and communication skillsPhysical capability requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs.Benefits:Competitive salaryAnnual review with increase potential401k program with company matchAdditional benefits may be availableArbor Lodging focuses on Five Guiding Principles to foster a culture where growth, development, and progression thrive within the properties:Do the Right Thing - Operate and act with integrity in all you do even when it is not convenient.Lead with Heart - Be kind, passionate and hospitable.Be Accountable - Take ownership and deliver results.Aim Higher - Go above and beyond to exceed expectations and pursue thoughtful change.Celebrate Differences - Embrace diversity; respect individual opinions and ideas.Arbor Lodging Management provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
