Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099 / full-time and part-time available)
Schedule: Flexible (Weekends & Select Weekdays)
Location: Maryland Area (Local Field Driving: 25–50 miles/day)

Job Overview:
Legal Papers, Inc. is seeking reliable Independent Contractors (1099) to join our team as Process Servers across Maryland. In this role, you will deliver legal documents to individuals and businesses while completing accurate proof of service documentation.

Qualifications:

• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance.
• Equipment: Smartphone with active email and internet access, plus ability to print documents.
• Availability: Flexible schedule with availability to serve papers every weekend and select weekdays.
• Background Check: Willingness to undergo and pass a standard background check.
• Logistics: Willingness to drive 25–50 miles per day and make office/mail pickups 1–2 times per week depending on location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Delivery: Timely and accurately serve legal documents to individuals and businesses throughout specified Maryland service areas.
• Documentation: Complete, sign, and return proof of service documentation following every completed serve.
• Route & Schedule Management: Plan daily field activities and manage drive routes effectively (typically 25–50 miles per day).
• Document Handling: Print legal papers from home or a local print provider (e.g., Staples, local library) and collect physical mail or office pickups 1–2 times per week.
• Communication: Maintain clear, prompt communication with office support regarding job statuses and updates.
