The role supports the department by performing a variety of general and complex administrative tasks, including customer service, invoice and payroll entry, and assisting with and coordinating special projects. The candidate must be organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while exercising independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. Desirable skills include strong communication, discretion with sensitive subject matter, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), a willingness to engage with the public in a diverse community, a desire to suggest process improvements, and the ability to adapt to change in a multi‑faceted, fast‑paced environment. Candidates who are bilingual or multilingual are preferred; employees with interpretation/translation skills may be eligible for the Language Incentive Pay Program.
