Breast Radiologist

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai through its affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Breast Radiologist. Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center in the ethnically diverse borough of Queens, NY. The Elmhurst Radiology team is a dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly group of radiologists, technologists, nurses and support staff. The Elmhurst Radiology team offers flexible, hybrid remote and onsite work options. Productivity expectations are aligned with the mission to deliver high quality medical care to Queens communities. Responsibilities include interpreting a full range of breast imaging—mammography (including tomosynthesis), ultrasound, and MRI—and performing image-guided procedures such as FNA, core biopsy, needle and non-wire localizations. Additional duties involve communication with referring physicians, timely report sign‑off, and participation in department committees as directed by the Site Chair and System Chair. Qualifications: A medical degree from an accredited university; board certification in Radiology; ACGME-accredited fellowship training in breast imaging; a valid New York State license; DEA and Medicaid numbers. Strong communication, organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to work in a team-oriented health system are required. The position includes a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications, a highly competitive compensation and benefits package—including CME—and a base salary of $520,000, excluding faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
