ASSOCIATE PASTOR: Join a Growing Church Family! Southwest Community Church | Roanoke, VA (Full-Time) Southwest Community Church (SWCC) in Roanoke, Virginia is prayerfully seeking a gifted, called, and theologically grounded Associate Pastor to join our team during a dynamic season of growth. This full-time role is designed for a humble, teachable, and courageous leader who is eager to serve alongside our Lead Pastor to strengthen and expand the ministries of our church. The Associate Pastor will provide leadership in three key ministry areas: Assimilation – guiding first-time guests into meaningful connection and active membership during a time of exponential growth Discipleship – guiding and shepherding ministry leaders, teaching core classes, strengthening community, and supporting our churchwide Discipleship Journey Missions & Outreach – overseeing local outreach efforts, mobilizing volunteers, and expanding SWCC’s kingdom impact in the Roanoke Valley and beyond The ideal candidate will: Have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of spiritual maturity Be aligned with SBC theology and committed to biblical leadership Embrace a fun-loving, family-oriented church culture Demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Possess a shepherd’s heart for discipling and equipping the saints Thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic ministry environment Qualifications: Undergraduate degree required Theological degree from accredited seminary preferred 3-5 years of ministry experience preferred If you are excited to serve in a church where the harvest is plentiful and where your leadership will impact generations, we would love to hear from you!
