Activities AssistantEddy Hawthorne Ridge is seeking a per diem Activities Assistant for our Memory Care Unit. On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.Hawthorne Ridge is a beautiful community with a supportive staff and innovative approach to caring for the aging population. Our campus houses a 54-bed Memory Care, 50-apartment Independent Living, and 12-bed traditional Assisted Living. We have a beautiful bistro on-site, available for made-to-order lunches.The Position and Our Ideal CandidateOur Activities colleagues come from a variety of backgrounds, including health care, creative fields, and more! Dementia experience preferred.The Activities Assistant is responsible for creating and leading activities programs which reflect resident interests.The Day-to-DayPlan and lead life enrichment programs in accordance with resident interests – 3 to 4 programs each dayKnow the unique interests of residents and encourage them to participate in program offeringsOccasionally drive company vehicle for outings (must be willing to drive 14-passenger van)Incorporate opportunities to foster memorable experiences for residentsEnsure materials are left out for all planned activities taking place after your scheduled shift endsAssist in planning monthly calendar of programsKeep activities supplies in neat and orderly condition, alerting Activities Director when supplies are neededRequirementsValid licenseHigh School DiplomaPay Range:$17.25 - $22.95 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
