Telecom Field Operations | Durham, NC | Full Time | California Support Department: Operations Reports To: Assigned Operations Manager Work Location: Durham, North Carolina; several months of on-site training, with possible remote work afterward subject to approval Schedule: After training, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PT), Monday through Friday On Call: After training, a five-day rotation about every four to five weeks, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. ET (4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. PT) The Opportunity Infinity Communications supports telecommunications networks through generator service, field maintenance, and emergency response. We are hiring an Operations Coordinator in Durham to support our California field teams. You will train on site in Durham for several months. Remote work may be considered after training based on performance and business needs. The regular schedule will align with California business hours. What You Will Do - Enter new assignments and completed field work into trackers, keeping job and asset information current. - Update Gentrac, OneLink, customer portals, and other systems with accurate job details, milestones, and ticket status. - Complete preventative maintenance and customer ticket closeouts, checking for required information and documents. - Follow up with California field employees and managers on missing information, discrepancies, and incomplete closeouts. - Monitor open tickets and deadlines, raise delays early, and help the team meet customer commitments. - Share clear status updates with California Operations managers, field teams, project teams, and other departments. - After training, join the rotating five-day on-call assignment to stay in contact with field crews and serve as a contact for deployments. What We Are Looking For - High school diploma or equivalent and experience in operations coordination, project administration, ticket management, data entry, or similar work. - Strong Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail, and accuracy across multiple systems. - Ability to manage priorities, follow procedures, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with field and office teams. - Availability for the 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET schedule and rotating overnight on-call coverage; related field operations experience is preferred. What Success Looks Like - Tickets, trackers, and customer systems show accurate, current work status and supporting information. - Closeouts are completed on time, with missing documentation followed through to resolution. - California Operations leaders and field teams receive timely updates and know that open items are tracked and escalated.
