This full-time, contract opportunity invites you to support third-grade learners as a dedicated Classroom Support Teacher. As an integral part of the special education team, you’ll foster a nurturing, inclusive learning space tailored to the needs of each student. Your expertise will empower children to grow academically, socially, and emotionally, building a strong foundation for their educational journey throughout the new school year.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Previous experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to create and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Collaborative attitude to work alongside teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support in a 3rd grade special education setting
- Deliver differentiated instruction based on student IEPs
- Monitor, track, and report on student progress and development
- Partner with classroom teachers, specialists, and support staff
- Foster a supportive, positive classroom culture
- Engage in parent communications and IEP meetings
- Promote an environment where all students can thrive
