  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., DOT 49 CFR Part 192, ASME B31.8, ASTM, API, and utility standards).
  • Review and approve contract documents, change orders, and project amendments.
  • Provide mentorship, technical direction, and peer review for junior and mid-level engineers to develop team capability and maintain quality standards.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal development, project scoping, and client presentations.
  • Lead quality control reviews, enforce quality assurance procedures, and contribute to technical standard updates.
  • Participate in risk assessments, constructability reviews, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Support project closeout activities, including as-built verification, lessons learned, and performance reporting.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 9–12 years of progressive experience in natural gas distribution or transmission engineering, with at least 3 years in project leadership or supervisory roles.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and GIS tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent the company in client and regulatory meetings.
