General Production Worker

General Production Worker – $19.55/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable General Production Worker to support daily operations in a metal fabrication shop. This hands-on role involves assisting with manufacturing, machine operation, assembly, packaging, and material handling while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products

• Perform cutting, grinding, deburring, and cleaning operations

• Support welders, fabricators, and machine operators as needed

• Operate basic shop equipment, hand tools, drills, grinders, and saws

• Inspect parts for quality and defects

• Package, label, and stage finished products for shipment

Requirements

• Experience in production, assembly, machine operation, packaging, or general labor

• Ability to use hand tools and work in a manufacturing environment

• Comfortable loading, packing, and handling materials

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to read basic work instructions and blueprints

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a metal fabrication or welding shop

• Familiarity with tape measures, calipers, and measuring tools

• Forklift or overhead crane experience (or willingness to be trained)

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM

⏰ Overtime available until 4:00 AM and occasional Saturdays

This is a Contract position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.55 - $19.55/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
