You will also be prepared to step into a leadership role when the Property Manager is away.If you are currently working in multifamily as an Assistant Property Manager, Assistant Community Manager, Leasing Manager or experienced Leasing Professional and are ready for more responsibility and growth, we want to meet you.What you'll own:Partner with the Property Manager in the day-to-day operation and performance of the communityManage resident account activity, including rent collection, delinquency follow-up, late notices and payment arrangements in accordance with company policyMaintain accurate resident ledgers, files and account documentationAssist with move-ins, move-outs, notices to vacate, renewals and resident transfersSupport lease enforcement and follow established procedures related to delinquency and other lease violationsBuild strong resident relationships and help resolve questions, concerns and service issues professionally and promptlySupport leasing efforts by responding to prospects, conducting tours, following up on leads and helping convert qualified traffic into leasesReview applications, leasing documentation and resident files for accuracy and completenessAssist with renewal and resident-retention effortsMonitor occupancy, leasing activity, renewals and other community performance indicatorsAssist with weekly and monthly reporting and other property-management administrative responsibilitiesProcess invoices and assist with vendor and account documentation as neededWalk the community regularly and partner with the maintenance team to ensure apartments, models, amenities and common areas meet ONYX standardsSupport marketing, outreach and resident-engagement effortsHelp maintain a positive, accountable and performance-focused onsite team environmentServe as the onsite leader in the Property Manager's absenceFollow Fair Housing requirements and all ONYX policies and proceduresWhat we're looking for:Multifamily experience matters for this position.Required qualifications:2+ years of onsite multifamily/apartment property-management or leasing experiencePrevious experience as an Assistant Property Manager, Assistant Community Manager, Leasing Manager, Senior Leasing Professional or similar onsite multifamily roleHands-on experience with resident accounts, collections and delinquency managementUnderstanding of the leasing cycle from prospect through move-in and renewalKnowledge of Fair Housing requirements and apartment-industry best practicesStrong customer-service and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to communicate professionally and confidently with residents, prospects, vendors and team membersStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesComfortable working with numbers, reports and property financial informationProficiency with property-management software and standard business technologyHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to work the schedule required for an onsite multifamily community, including weekends when scheduledPreferred qualifications:Current or recent experience in an onsite apartment communityExperience with ResMan or comparable property-management softwareExperience managing collections and delinquencyExperience with renewals, resident retention and leasingPrevious experience providing leadership or direction to an onsite teamWho thrives at ONYX?We are looking for someone who:Understands that occupancy, collections and resident experience all matterFollows through and takes ownershipCan have difficult conversations professionally and respectfullyDoesn't wait for someone else to identify what needs attentionUnderstands the urgency of leasing and follow-upIs comfortable balancing customer service with accountabilityWants to continue growing within the multifamily industryBrings solutions—not just problems—to the tableEnjoys being part of a team that is focused on getting resultsWhy ONYX Multifamily Group?At ONYX, we believe strong communities start with strong teams.Our culture is grounded in grace in leadership.
