Optical Materials & Development Engineer | Laser & Cyrstals | Upto $150,000 Overview An innovative organization in the photonics and laser technology space is seeking an Optical Materials & Isolator Development Engineer. This role focuses on the development, fabrication, and characterization of advanced optical materials and crystals for optical devices for next‑generation systems. Key Responsibilities Build, test, and characterize optical systems. Support fabrication of optical crystals and materials for advanced optical systems. Develop and maintain a supply chain for optical components and new material suppliers. Collaborate with optical, mechanical, and systems engineers to integrate components. Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of optical material fabrication techniques, including single‑crystal growth (Czochralski, Bridgman, Float‑zone, LPE). Experience with optical crystal characterization methods (XRD, absorption, CRD). Hands‑on experience working with optical devices and system. PhD in a relevant field (MS with experience considered; exceptional BS candidates welcome). Direct experience in optical material fabrication, particularly crystal growth. Benefits Salary Range: $90,000 – $150,000 annually. Comprehensive medical coverage (100% employer‑paid). 401(k) with company match.
