Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, including Level 2 Trauma, STEMI receiving, and Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center populations
• Manage complex neurological, cardiovascular, and multi-trauma patients including stroke, STEMI, CABG/Valve, IABP, CRRT, and sepsis cases
• Strong neuro experience is required given the high-acuity neuro patient population
• Float between ICU and PCU overflow as needed, supporting up to 12 overflow beds
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and LA Fire Card (obtained within the last 30 days)
• Strong neuro background is required
• Must disclose any license or background hits at time of submission; no open license hits will be approved
• Locals are welcome (candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, IABP, CABG/Valve, and surgical ICU patient populations
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior experience in a Magnet-designated facility
• Comfort floating between ICU and PCU environments
