Affordable Housing Assistant Property Manager – Weekly Pay – Immediate Hiring

Location: Twin Cities, Minnesota
Pay: $25–$30/hour (Higher pay based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time

Career Strategies is actively hiring an experienced Affordable Housing Assistant Property Manager for a full-time opportunity in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented property management professional with affordable housing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting residents while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have experience with affordable housing programs, resident relations, leasing support, and property operations while assisting with day-to-day community management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with daily property and community operations
• Support leasing activities including tours, applications, move-ins, move-outs, and resident retention efforts
• Maintain resident files and ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Tax Credit, and affordable housing program requirements
• Process certifications, recertifications, renewals, and income calculations accurately and on time
• Handle resident communications and deliver exceptional customer service
• Assist with rent collections, delinquency follow-up, notices, and payment tracking
• Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of resident concerns
• Maintain accurate records and reporting through property management software
• Conduct file audits and assist with compliance reviews
• Support occupancy goals, waitlist management, and overall community performance

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Assistant Property Manager, Leasing Consultant, Property Management, or Affordable Housing experience preferred
• Affordable Housing experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Tax Credit, Fair Housing, and compliance regulations
• Experience processing certifications and recertifications preferred
• Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, ResMan, AppFolio, MRI, or similar property management software
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
